We have moved to United Real Estate Properties...... Today we are touring the Amazon neighborhood

The Amazon
neighborhood is bound by 24th Avenue on the North Agate Street and Laurelwood
Golf Course on East, 30th Avenue on the South and Amazon Creek on the West.
Most of the
homes were built between the 1940s through the 1980s with large, generous lot
sizes. 84% of the folks that live in the Amazon neighborhood say it is dog
friendly, 83% say it's walkable to grocery stores and many restaurants, 77% say
there's a lot of holiday spirit in the neighborhood, 75% of the folks say they
would walk alone at night. And 58% say the streets are well lit.
Elementary
Schools
Camas Ridge
Elementary School is K through 5.There's 380 students. It's public school and
the student to teacher ratio is 22 to 1. We also have Edison Elementary, which
is K through 5. There's 379 students and the student to teacher ratio at Edison
is 23 to 1. Next is Far Horizon's Monastery school, it’s pre-K through 5.
There's 69 students and the student teacher ratio is 8 to 1.
Middle
School
Roosevelt
Middle School is grades 6-8. There's 575 students and a student to teacher
ratio is 26 to 1.
High
School
Beautiful
South Eugene High School campus. Grades 9 through 12. There's 1466 students
with an average student teacher ratio of 25-1.
There’s very
little crime in the Amazon neighborhood.
Amazon Park
is a vibrant, active park in the heart of the Amazon neighborhood and South
Eugène, it encompasses nearly 100 acres. Recreation facilities at Amazon Park
include 2 community centers and Eugene's only outdoor pool.
Amazon
Community Center offers a variety of enrichment activities, classes, workshops,
special events and summer camps for people of all ages. The Hilliard Community
Center is where the city's adaptive recreational program is housed, which
offers opportunities for people with physical, developmental and emotional
disabilities to develop active, healthy and playful lifestyles. Other notable
facilities in Amazon Park include baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts, a
community garden an outdoor performance space and play areas. There’s also a small skateboard bowl and a 3 acre dog park
for dogs of all sizes with a separate half acre dog park for dogs under 25
pounds.
The Amazon
trail system is a five and a half mile barked walking and jogging path, which
winds through Amazon Park along Amazon Parkway, and up to Frank Kenney Park,
where a connection to the Ridge Line Park can be found at the end of Canyon
Drive. In the past 3 months, there has been 10 sold homes in the neighborhood.
Their average days on market are 12 and the average sold price is $347,000. If
